Ready to make a real impact on organisational performance? As an integral member of the Learning and Development team, provide a professional and customer focused administrative and front of house service to the L&D Centre, to support corporate objectives and those of the Service Support Directorate.
The role includes:
- Providing guidance, support & training for L&D activities and the application of L&D Policies and Procedures.
- Working with subject matter experts in reviewing training materials and supporting the development of new materials in line with National Operational Guidance/ National Occupational Standards and other legislative requirements.
- Finding innovative ways to translate ideas into the LMS system.
- Acting as a first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries relating to operational Learning & Development support.
- Providing support and guidance to the L&D function in the development of digital learning content and effective use of learning technologies.
- Creating, collating and producing web-based and online training materials, using complex software.
- Ensuring continued and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Dealing with queries from L&D contract providers, recording contract expenditure, initiating purchase orders, and managing invoices and credits.
Administration tasks include:
- Providing a high level of customer service through effective communication, taking ownership of customer queries, complaints and issues.
- Providing a professional reception and front of house service for LDC.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely production of relevant management information and reports.
- Providing professional administrative support for meetings and events.
- Assisting in the preparation of responses to complaints and information requests.
- Ensuring all activities in support of L&D Interventions are completed to the highest professional standard.
- Creating and updating resources to train and support learners.
- Maintaining version control index of training materials and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Undertaking a helpdesk function dealing directly with and resolving L&D queries.
Learning & Management Systems responsibilities include:
- Ensuring data held within LMS is accurate and up to date.
- Managing the security and use of training records in line with GDPR regulations.
- Providing troubleshooting assistance for users regarding LMS and system functionality.
- Collaborating and networking with colleagues and stakeholders to promote partnership working.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure that the LMS takes advantage of emerging technology.
- Taking a lead role in the design and development of training programs.
- Providing training for staff on LMS implementation.
- Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of learning solutions.
- Managing and supporting all areas of the LMS.
- Assisting with the development of LMS and integration with existing and new systems.
The Person: As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
- Possess a HNC-level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business administration, IT, Multimedia) AND at least two years' experience in a Learning & Development/Administrative role.
- OR possess 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English and Maths AND at least five years' experience in a Learning & Development/Administrative role.
