Are you a motivated Radiographer looking to develop your career within a dynamic and patient-focused imaging department? We're recruiting for a Band 5 Radiographer to join a busy diagnostic imaging team, supporting the delivery of high-quality radiographic services across a modern acute healthcare setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Radiographer to build on their clinical experience, develop across a range of imaging modalities and contribute to delivering outstanding patient care within a supportive team environment.
The Role
- Perform a broad range of radiographic and imaging examinations to a high professional standard.
- Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred imaging services across the department.
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection regulations, departmental protocols and quality standards.
- Participate in equipment quality assurance checks and report faults where required.
- Support the supervision and training of assistant staff and student radiographers.
- Contribute to departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient patient care.
- Participate in flexible working arrangements, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on-call duties where required.
You will work both independently and as part of a wider team, ensuring imaging services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest clinical standards.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent qualification).
- HCPC registration, or eligibility to register prior to appointment.
- Experience using a broad range of general radiographic skills, including placement experience.
- Strong understanding of Ionising Radiation Regulations and current professional standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to supervise students and assistant staff where required.
- Full UK driving licence or access to suitable transport.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working within a busy acute imaging department.
- Experience participating in quality improvement or audit activity.
