MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for a really exciting and expanding client based in Limavady. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join a growing design team that delivers innovative engineering projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high‑quality engineered products while developing your skills in a business that is investing heavily in growth, systems, and people.

You will play a key role in delivering accurate mechanical designs for live projects, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to help drive quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Role
  • Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  • Designing mechanical components and assemblies for engineered products
  • Producing BOMs, release packs, and manufacturing information
  • Supporting live projects from concept through to production
  • Collaborating with Manufacturing, Electrical Design, and Project teams
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, standardisation, and product development
Candidate
  • Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (Inventor preferred)
  • Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and design for manufacture
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Team player with a proactive and driven attitude
