We are delighted to be exclusively recruiting a Health and Safety Manager for a growing transport and logistics business based in Ballymena. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of Health & Safety and ISO systems, driving compliance, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture across all transport and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain Health & Safety and ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as applicable)
- Ensure compliance with UK and Northern Ireland health and safety legislation and transport regulations
- Carry out risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions
- Deliver Health & Safety and ISO training across the business
- Manage internal and external ISO audits and certification requirements
- Monitor transport safety compliance and report on performance metrics
- Advise senior management on compliance, ISO standards and best practice
About You
- Experience in a Health & Safety role within transport, logistics or a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 45001 essential; ISO desirable)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)
- Experience with audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passionate about promoting a proactive safety culture
