MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a successful, locally owned business as they look to recruit a .NET Developer to join their growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer early in their career to join a well-established organisation that continues to invest in digital transformation. Working closely with an experienced Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in developing and enhancing the company's ecommerce platform while contributing to internal systems that improve operational efficiency.
The Role
- Develop, maintain and enhance the company's ecommerce platform.
- Support the design and development of internal business systems and applications.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle on new features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify improvements and implement effective resolutions.
- Provide wider support to the internal IT function where required.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or at least 1 year's commercial web development experience.
- Commercial experience with C#, .NET and MVC development.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving ability with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet project deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Microsoft or web development certifications.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks.
