MCS Group have partnered with a large public sector client who are seeking an experienced Interim HR Advisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to build on your experience in a complex public sector organisation. You will provide operational HR advice and guidance to managers across the organisation, supporting effective people management, employee relations and delivery of the HR & OD Business Plan.
The successful candidate will manage a range of HR cases, provide advice on employment legislation, policies and procedures, support recruitment and selection activity, contribute to HR projects and initiatives, and develop effective relationships with managers, trade unions and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Management of HR cases including sickness, discipline, grievance, dignity & respect at work, performance/capability, dismissals, appeals and Employment Tribunals.
- Providing advice and guidance to senior managers and line managers on HR matters, employment legislation, best practice and terms and conditions.
- Supporting managers through coaching and development to improve people management practices.
- Supporting recruitment and selection processes in line with legislation and procedures.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies and procedures.
- Supporting absence management, employee relations matters and HR projects.
- Developing effective relationships with Trade Unions and other stakeholders.
- Applicants must have a degree in any discipline, and can demonstrate 2 years' experience in managing employee relations and recruitment and selection OR can demonstrate 4 years' experience in managing employee relations and recruitment and selection.
- Be full, current professional members of the CIPD at Associate or Chartered level.
- Have experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, to include Trade Unions.
- Have a full valid driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle or have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
