Are you looking to make a difference as an Assistant Psychologist?

We\’re recruiting on behalf of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. The role is based in a slow-stream, low-stimulus day care service providing rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injury and associated neuro-behavioural challenges.

The role

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the unit under the direction of the Clinical Lead and Manager.
  • Assist with psychological assessments of service users.
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic or activity-based interventions.
  • Contribute to formal review processes and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Accompany service users on visits and activities outside the unit.
  • Participate in service evaluation, audit, training, and quality improvement within the unit.
  • Contribute to risk assessment, management, and reporting in collaboration with colleagues.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • Psychology graduate.
  • Knowledge of the impacts and implications of brain injury for adults cognitive, emotional, functional and behavioural presentation.
  • Hold a current drivers license.
