MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation based in Newry to recruit for an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.

The Company
This company is one of the leading suppliers in its industry, servicing both the UK and Ireland. They have a large, well-established finance team based in Newry and are now looking to add an Assistant Accountant to support their continued growth.

The Role
As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will:

  • Manage ledgers, reconciliations, and journals.
  • Support month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Monitor cash flow and process payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and support business decision-making.

What you need to succeed
Experience in a busy accounting or finance environment
Strong Excel skills and good general systems knowledge
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Ability to manage workload, work independently, and communicate effectively
