HR Officer in Armagh

MCS Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an HR Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop their career within a hands-on, generalist HR role. Working closely with managers and employees across the business, you will provide practical advice and support across a range of HR matters, with a particular focus on employee relations, absence management and employment legislation. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering a proactive, people-focused HR service, supporting managers to resolve employee issues and contributing to the ongoing development of HR policies, processes and initiatives. The Role Providing advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance and capability issues. Supporting the management of sickness absence cases, return-to-work processes and initiatives to improve attendance. Advising on the application of HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation. Supporting formal investigations and hearings, helping managers manage employee issues effectively and consistently. Assisting with recruitment campaigns, job descriptions, person specifications and selection processes. Preparing employment contracts, HR letters and other relevant documentation. Supporting employee inductions and delivering a responsive service to employees and managers. Maintaining accurate HR records, supporting HR reporting and ensuring data is handled confidentially. Contributing to HR projects, policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Building effective working relationships across the business and supporting the wider HR team as required. The Person Previous experience in an HR role, ideally within an HR Officer, HR Advisor or People Advisor position. Experience supporting employee relations and absence management cases. Knowledge of employment law, HR policies and procedures. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong communication skills and the confidence to support managers through challenging employee situations. A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics or a unionised environment would be advantageous. What's on offer?
