Accounts Technician / Payroller - Lurgan

MCS Group are looking for an Accounts Technician or an experienced Payroller to join this well reputed small/mid-tier accountancy practice.

The Rewards:

As the successful Accounts Technician / Payroller you will receive:

  • Salary up to Β£35,000

The Role:

As the successful Accounts Technician / Payroller you will be responsible for:

  • Work extensively with Xero and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
  • Work with a portfolio of SME clients
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, Bank reconciliations and income returns
  • Support senior accountant with accounts preparation
  • Payroll person will manage a portfolio of clients processing end to end payroll

The Person:

As the successful Accounts Technician / Payroller you meet the following criteria:

  • ATI qualified or experienced Bookkeeper with strong practical experience.
  • Good accountancy practice experience preferred for non ATI candidates.
  • Experience with VAT and CIS desirable.
  • Strong Xero experience essential.
  • Payroll experience highly desirable, particularly for candidates interested in managing payroll clients.
  • Good Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple client deadlines.
