Join a busy Economic Development team where you'll play a key role in supporting regeneration initiatives, engaging with local businesses, and helping deliver projects that strengthen town centres and support economic growth. MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a public sector organisation in their search for a Regeneration Project Assistant. This role is ideal for an organised individual with strong project support experience, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and an interest in supporting regeneration, grant funding and economic development programmes.

The Role:

  • Support the delivery of regeneration and economic development projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with the administration, monitoring and financial management of grant-funded programmes, ensuring compliance with funding and audit requirements.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and regeneration stakeholders, supporting engagement activities, events and site visits.
  • Maintain accurate project records, business databases and performance information to support reporting and outreach activities.
  • Review grant applications, prepare project summaries and support the processing of funding claims and project expenditure.
  • Assist with procurement processes and maintain project documentation to ensure effective governance and audit compliance.
  • Provide high-quality support, responding to enquiries and contributing to the successful delivery of regeneration programmes.

The Person:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths (Grades A-C).
  • Project regeneration or economic development experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
