MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation as they appoint a Learning & Development Business Partner to support the delivery of a progressive, people-focused learning strategy across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced L&D Business Partner to play a key role in shaping learning, leadership, and talent development initiatives within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Working closely with the Group Head of People & Culture, you will lead the delivery of engaging and innovative learning solutions that support both individual and organisational growth. The L&D Business Partner will focus heavily on leadership capability, emerging talent development, digital learning, and embedding a strong culture of continuous improvement. This position will suit someone who is proactive, commercially aware, and passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that drive performance and employee engagement. A strong interest in digital learning, AI-enabled development, and measuring learning impact will be essential.

The main responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the delivery of internal leadership and management development programmes
  • Coordinate emerging talent and internal development initiatives, ensuring learning milestones are achieved
  • Provide coaching and development support to employees participating in talent programmes
  • Support apprenticeship activity across the business, helping maximise levy utilisation and learning opportunities
  • Manage and promote the mentoring programme across the organisation
  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of onboarding and induction programmes
  • Develop a modern core learning offer, incorporating digital learning, AI tools, and external learning solutions where appropriate
  • Facilitate both face-to-face and online training sessions as required
  • Support employees and managers in setting SMART objectives and creating effective development plans
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practice and emerging trends within learning and talent development
  • Develop and manage the annual learning curriculum in line with business priorities
  • Promote learning opportunities across the organisation to increase employee engagement with development initiatives
  • Monitor and manage the learning and talent budget, including reporting and forecasting responsibilities
  • Produce learning analytics and evaluate programme effectiveness against agreed business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external learning providers and suppliers
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System, ensuring an effective user experience
  • Upload and communicate new digital learning content across the business
  • Gather user feedback to continuously improve the digital learning experience
  • Support a positive workplace culture by demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and alignment with company values

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience within a Learning & Development, Talent Development, or HR Development role
  • Strong understanding of leadership development and employee learning strategies
  • Experience delivering training, workshops, or coaching sessions
  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms and Learning Management Systems
  • CIPD qualification or relevant L&D certification is desirable
