MCS Group are delighted to be working with a leading building construction company on an excellent opportunity for a Junior Estimator to join their growing estimating team. This role offers hands-on involvement in the tendering process, supporting cost assessments from first principles through to final submission, while developing strong technical and commercial skills within a supportive environment.
The Role
We are partnering with a leading building construction company who are seeking a Junior Estimator to support their experienced estimating team across a variety of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in estimating, working on a wide range of projects. You will assist with measurements, pricing, subcontractor engagement, and tender preparation, while learning best practice from senior team members.
- Support the preparation of Design & Build tender submissions from first principles using measurements and unit rates
- Assist in sourcing, reviewing, and evaluating subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and suitability
- Help compile tender documentation in line with different contract forms including JCT and NEC
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and coordinate information required for tenders
- Attend internal meetings to support understanding of project budgets, variations, and cost control
