The Role:

  • Supports delivery and improvement of the corporate health and safety framework.
  • Provides health and safety advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Assists with inspections, audits and investigations to ensure compliance and safe working practices.
  • Supports health and safety systems, reporting processes and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinates and delivers health and safety training, inductions and awareness activity.
  • Prepares reports, recommendations and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to support health and safety objectives.

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Essential: Degree qualified with a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent. Alternatively, candidates without formal qualifications must demonstrate extensive Health & Safety Officer experience.
  • Strong background providing practical health and safety advice and guidance with successful outcomes.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures aligned with legislation and best practice.
