We are partnered with a high-growth SaaS company specialising in compliance automation and regulatory reporting. Their platform helps some of the UK's most complex businesses simplify tax, financial reporting, and data workflows. As part of their next growth phase, they are hiring a Pre-Sales Engineer to work closely with prospective clients, the product team, and implementation leads - helping shape how the platform is delivered, pitched, and evolved based on market feedback.

This role is ideal for someone with an accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent) who is ready to step out of traditional finance and into a more commercial, client-facing role at the intersection of finance and technology.

The Role

  • Understand a client's reporting or regulatory challenges and present the platform as the solution
  • Build and deliver tailored product demos, including proof-of-concepts where needed
  • Feed market insights and user feedback into the product roadmap
  • Support internal teams by articulating new features and use cases clearly
  • Conduct competitor research and shape use-case development from the ground up

This is a commercially driven role - but one where technical credibility and real financial domain knowledge matter.

What We Are Looking For

  • You must hold a recognised accounting or tax qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CTA)
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting or tax processes - whether from practice or industry
  • Confident communicator, capable of engaging with both finance leaders and product teams
  • Some technical curiosity - basic SQL or similar experience is helpful, but you don’t need to be a developer
  • A natural problem solver who enjoys getting under the hood of how things work

Backgrounds That Could Fit Well

  • Former accountants or tax specialists who have moved into tech-facing roles such as solutions consulting, implementations, product support, or technical sales
  • Finance professionals working in reporting-heavy or regulatory roles, now looking for more client interaction and commercial exposure
  • Individuals from a Big 4, mid-tier practice, or in-house function who have always been the 'go-to' for systems or process improvements

This is a rare opportunity to combine professional finance qualifications with a modern technology career path - in a role that directly influences how a market-leading platform is sold and improved. If you are looking to step out of the day-to-day of accounting, without losing the credibility it gives you, this could be a smart next move.
