Software Engineer Team Lead - Development

MCS Group is working exclusively with a fast-scaling technology company in their search for a Software Engineering Team Lead. This Software Engineering Team Lead is a newly created role within the business, and will offer a strong technical lead huge amounts of career progression, along with the chance to learn new technologies and contribute to a scaling SaaS product. Still very much an individual contributor (I\’d see this as an 80/20 split between IC and leadership/management), you\’ll play a key part in this company\’s growth at a really exciting time for the business. The Technical Team Lead will design and review system architecture and create technical solutions. You\’ll write and maintain high-quality, scalable code. You\’ll support CI/CD, deployment processes, and production stability. You\’ll be passionate about removing blockers and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Mentor and support team members\’ growth and performance and get involved in recruiting and onboarding as the engineering function grows. PHP (Symfony), Angular, Typescript, AWS – brilliant if you have experience in working with these, but no issues if not. Our client\’s engineering team is made up of some brilliant software engineers already – and an ability to problem solve and work things out is the concurrent theme across the team today. Circa £85,000 with package which includes share options and private medical.
