MCS Group is proud to be working with a highly reputable company based in County Derry to recruit a Shift Performance Manager.
As the SPM, you will manage the smooth running of the production process. Ensuring all products are produced to the specified specifications with H&S at your priority.
You will be involved with the planning, coordinating, and control of all manufacturing processes. As well as ensuring goods and services are produced efficiently and the correct amount is produced.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to. Acquire knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
- Development programs, Disciplinary & Grievance, Absence management investigations, etc
- Ensure all team members are managed following the company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the leadership and mentoring of the team, which includes performance feedback and identifying and fulfilling training requirements of team members
- Execute the shift training plan to improve performance and flexibility and organise any additional training through gap analysis that may be
- Team Communications/meetings, providing constructive feedback, visual management, and regular performance
- Maintain visibility on the production floor, driving the performance of your team and supporting functions to deliver the Manage teams through a recognised appraisal system to develop and drive performance by providing quality feedback.
- Build and maintain positive/professional working relationships with internal and external customer base to maximise efficiency's and resolve
- Actively engage with the shift team to solve business problems, drawing on the expertise and talent on the
- Participate and lead key business VCI
- Provide updates and identify trends on projects, tasks, and
- Monitor and oversee the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Proactively support/ contribute to the Site Quality
Essential Criteria
- 3+ years of supervisory / management experience in a regulated Manufacturing
- WCOM / lean six-sigma
- Able to communicate and motivate coherently to achieve
- Highly proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and
- Flexibility – shift
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Desirable Criteria
- Degree educated, preferably in a manufacturing-related discipline or
- NEBOSH or
- SAP knowledge/experience.
