We are seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to join a global technical support team. This is a high-impact, part-time opportunity designed to provide front-line support for corporate infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. You will be the "boots on the ground," addressing technical hurdles for a hybrid workforce and ensuring optimal workstation performance across both PC and Mac platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide timely support for hardware and software issues (in-person, phone, or email), specifically focusing on VPN (Global Protect), Intune (Windows), and Jamf (Mac).
  • Lifecycle Management: Build and deploy new systems (PC/Mac), handle employee onboarding/offboarding, and manage asset returns.
  • Asset Control: Maintain hardware inventory using Asset Sonar and manage equipment bookings.
  • Operational Support: Conduct weekly checks of AV/Conference rooms and coordinate with vendors on facility issues like wiring or UPS battery tests.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience: Approximately 2-3 years of technical support experience in a fast-moving corporate environment.
  • OS Proficiency: Substantial experience supporting Apple Mac OS and Windows; familiarity with Linux is a plus.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira preferred) and endpoint management tools like Intune or Jamf.
  • Soft Skills: A customer-focused attitude with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with team members and end-users in a "walk-in ticket" environment.

Working Arrangements & Benefits

  • Locations: On-site availability required in Reading (16 hours/week, Tuesdays & Thursdays initially).
  • Flexibility: While starting as a part-time role, there is significant potential for increased hours and a transition into a full-time position as the organisation continues to grow and expand its Reading office.
  • Duration: Initially for 6-12 months with strong potential for additional hours or conversion to join their Global Service Desk team.
  • Rate of Pay: £14.50/h PAYE | Paid Weekly.
  • Starting: ASAP. No travel/Weekend or on-call work.
