Overview
MCS Group are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for an immediate start with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. You will be responsible for the operational management of Term Service Maintenance Contracts and play a vital part in supporting smooth operation of the Facilities and Estates team.
What you will be doing
Provide professional quantity surveying services to support senior management in the Facilities and Assets department.
Oversee and govern all financial aspects of maintenance contracts and projects, ensuring compliance with procurement and financial regulations.
Deliver cost-effective management of minor works, planned and reactive maintenance, and Term Service Contracts.
Develop and implement systems for cost planning, estimating, expenditure monitoring and contract performance.
Lead procurement processes including preparation of business cases, tender documents, specifications and evaluation of tenders.
Manage contractors and professional services providers to maintain quality standards, control costs and achieve value for money.
Produce financial reports, cost analyses and statistical information to support appraisals, budgeting and post-project evaluation.
You will have
- Previous experience in a quantity surveying role.
- Knowledge of NEC Term Service Contracts, PSA schedules and relevant IT systems.
- Hold a current full driving licence, with access to a car.
