As an HSE Consultant, you\’ll provide expert advice, hands‑on support, and practical solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients, from site inspections and audits to safety culture development and compliance management.
You’ll play a key role in helping clients meet legislative requirements, achieve certification standards, and build a culture where safety, health, environment, and quality are embedded in everyday operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake regular inspections and audits in line with each client’s safety programme.
- Investigate and report on incidents, dangerous occurrences, ill‑health, and near misses.
- Prepare and present relevant HSE performance statistics and findings.
- Advise and support site and office‑based teams on all aspects of client Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Management Systems.
- Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across client organisations and their subcontractors.
- Prepare key construction documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
- Advise clients on training needs and support the delivery of relevant safety training.
- Complete pre‑qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and contribute to tender and quality submissions.
- Assist and attend client external SHEQ audits.
- Contribute to the development and continual improvement of operational procedures and safety management systems.
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator and trusted advisor who can engage people at all levels – from site teams to senior leadership. You take pride in delivering practical, real‑world safety solutions that drive performance and protect people.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and site operations
- Knowledge and experience with ISO and other third‑party accreditation systems
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Some flexibility to travel throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe
