MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading Manufacturing company who are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and continuously develop its Safety, Health, Environment and Quality function. This is a pivotal role responsible for designing, implementing and managing robust SHEQ systems that support operational excellence, ensure full regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding employees, minimising environmental impact, and driving continuous improvement.

You will:

  • Develop, put in place and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practice
  • Identify workplace hazards, carry out risk assessments and ensure suitable control measures are in place
  • Ensure the business remains compliant with all health, safety, environmental and quality legislation, updating systems as laws change
  • Deliver SHEQ training and safety briefings to employees at all levels to promote a strong safety culture
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes and implement actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Lead environmental improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency and sustainable practices
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ records, KPIs and reports for senior management
  • Keep up to date with industry standards and best practice, continuously improving SHEQ systems and performance

Key Requirements

  • Experience in a SHEQ management role, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation and SHEQ auditing
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and continuous improvement
