Employee Relations Business Partner - Belfast - Permanent

The role

As Employee Relations Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on all aspects of ER including investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, performance management and conflict resolution.

You will also play a key role in maintaining positive working relationships with trade unions and employee representatives, ensuring collaborative and constructive dialogue on matters that impact our people and the business.

The main responsibilities

  • Lead and advise on complex employee relations cases including grievance, disciplinary, absence, performance and capability.
  • Support managers with proactive ER advice, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organisation.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on the application of HR policies, best practice, employment law and IR.
  • Provide support for HR-wide initiatives and lead network-wide HR projects as required.
  • Build line manager capability through coaching and delivering ER-focused training.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on ER trends to shape people strategy and drive a positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate

  • Proven HR Business Partner (or HR Advisor ready to step up) with strong employee relations expertise.
  • Solid knowledge of NI employment law and best practice ER processes.
  • Experienced in managing high-volume, complex ER cases from end-to-end.
  • Skilled communicator, able to influence and challenge with credibility.
  • CIPD Qualified.
