MCS Group are working with a global technology company expanding its R&D function and looking for a Senior/Principal Cloud DevOps Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate modern cloud platforms. This role is open to both Software Engineers and DevOps/Cloud Engineers. If you enjoy working close to the code, building cloud-native services, and improving reliability, security, and scalability, this could be a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate cloud-native platforms and services
- Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions are secure, stable, and scalable
- Improve DevOps practices through automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Support cloud deployments, releases, and incident response
- Proactively manage cloud environments and operational readiness
- Mentor more junior team members
The Ideal Person
- Strong background in software engineering or cloud/DevOps
- Experience working with Azure/AWS/GCP
- Strong coding skills (C#, Go, Java, Node.js, etc. - C#/.NET preferred)
- Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and IaC experience
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, and modern architectures
Salary - Up to Β£70,000, DOE
