A highly successful global fintech organisation in Belfast is now in the market to hire a skilled Compliance Manager . This hire represents the building out of a brand-new function to the Northern Ireland operation – and represents a rare chance for a technology-forward compliance professional to build out frameworks from scratch with one of the most exciting recent joiners to the NI fintech space.
This is a brand new full-time permanent position representing the creation of a compliance function in Belfast – which will see the successful individual both create frameworks alongside building out a new team of compliance professionals.

The Role
As Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in:
- Owning and developing compliance frameworks and associated compliance control assessments – ensuring the business operates within clearly defined governance and risk management structures
- Overseeing operational compliance and managing partner compliance guidelines
- Certain client-facing responsibilities, including integrating clients into systems and managing compliance incidents with stakeholders
- Leading access governance, owning access reconciliation processes
- Establishing robust compliance training programmes
- Cross-functional working and collaboration with all internal teams including engineering, operations, finance, etc.
- Line management responsibilities of a compliance function you will help growing out – to include compliance associates, compliance analysts & similar
The Person
The successful Compliance Manager will meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in building out compliance frameworks within a financial services environment – sector experience within investments, fintech or similar is desirable
- Experience of building out compliance / risk frameworks
- Line management / leadership experience
- Technology-forward – experience within data analytics (Power BI, SQL) or AI implementation is advantageous
