Business Systems Analyst / Developer
Reporting to the IT Manager, you'll support and develop business-critical applications, helping colleagues resolve technical issues and keeping operational systems running effectively.
This role combines hands-on programming, application support and business systems improvement. RPG experience is desirable, but candidates with strong programming ability and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided as required.
- Maintain and enhance bespoke business applications.
- Support systems across retail, hospitality, wholesale, ERP and finance.
- Perform database maintenance and system monitoring.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to users.
- Work with internal teams and external technology suppliers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to digital forensics activities when required.
- Prioritise tasks according to business impact and follow issues through to resolution.
What you'll bring
- Third-level education.
- Strong programming ability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience testing data, programs and processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate clearly with users at all levels.
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- A current driving licence.
- RPG programming.
- Software troubleshooting.
- ERP and finance systems.
- Warehousing, retail or EPOS software.
- Windows Server.
- Network architectures and protocols.

The role is based at Head Office, with core hours of 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required.
