Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician - Belfast
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing Practice located in Belfast, looking to recruit for a Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Duties of the Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician:
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
- Processing purchase and sales ledgers, bank and credit card transactions
- Carrying out bank, supplier and control account reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns under Making Tax Digital
- Preparing management accounts and assisting with year end records for the accounts team
- Dealing directly with client queries in a professional and helpful manner
What you need to be the Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with previous work in an accountancy practice essential
- Confident handling multiple clients and deadlines at once
- Strong working knowledge of VAT and MTD
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Good communication skills
