MCS Group is working exclusively with an ambitious and rapidly scaling Insurtech company to hire an experienced .Net Web Developer as they continue to invest heavily in their digital platforms. This role sits at the heart of a growing engineering function responsible for designing and building complex, customer-facing web applications used at scale. You will join a highly capable, collaborative development team where quality, clean architecture, and long-term maintainability genuinely matter.
The role is hybrid, based in Belfast, with free on-site parking.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building complex, scalable web applications and websites using .NET / .NET Core and MVC
- Working hands-on across the full web stack, with strong involvement in HTML, CSS, and server-side rendering
- Collaborating closely with product, UX, and engineering colleagues to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
- Writing clean, well-structured, testable code and contributing to shared coding standards
- Participating in sprint planning, estimation, and technical design discussions
- Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation
- Contributing to architectural decisions and helping shape the future direction of the web platforms
- Supporting and mentoring junior developers within the team
- Assisting with monitoring, performance, and production support when required
What you’ll bring:
- Strong commercial experience as a .Net Web Developer or Senior .NET Developer
- Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET / .NET Core, and MVC
- Solid experience building and maintaining complex websites or web-based platforms
- Strong front-end fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and web standards
- Good understanding of software design principles (SOLID, DRY, clean code)
- Experience working with SQL Server and relational database design
- Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP, accessibility, and secure web development practices
