You will:

  • Drive efficient and effective procurement activity in line with legislation, policy, and best practice.
  • Support the Category Manager / Procurement Lead and stakeholders to deliver programmes and projects aligned with procurement pipelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design robust procurement and commercial strategies, leveraging category expertise and market intelligence, and delivering value for money.
  • Advise colleagues and clients on potential risks within allocated categories and markets, and help to develop appropriate mitigations.
  • Prepare and review procurement documentation to ensure professional, high-quality, and compliant processes are published to the marketplace.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted procurement advisor to support project and programme delivery.
  • Embed sustainability and equality objectives into procurement activity and decision-making.
