The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Principal Pensions Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the lead contact for trustees and advisers across Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
  • Taking ownership of scheme administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high service delivery standards
  • Managing and authorising complex and technical pension cases
  • Leading key scheme projects such as GMP equalisation, buy-ins, buy-outs, and wind-ups
  • Attending and contributing to trustee meetings, including presenting reports and technical updates
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues across the team
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives
  • Contributing to process improvements and best practice within the team

The Person

The successful Principal Pensions Administrator will meet the following criteria:

  • Strong Defined Benefit (DB) pensions administration experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience managing complex pension cases and leading scheme administration
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
