The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Principal Pensions Administrator will be responsible for:
- Acting as the lead contact for trustees and advisers across Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
- Taking ownership of scheme administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high service delivery standards
- Managing and authorising complex and technical pension cases
- Leading key scheme projects such as GMP equalisation, buy-ins, buy-outs, and wind-ups
- Attending and contributing to trustee meetings, including presenting reports and technical updates
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues across the team
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives
- Contributing to process improvements and best practice within the team
The Person
The successful Principal Pensions Administrator will meet the following criteria:
- Strong Defined Benefit (DB) pensions administration experience
- Strong technical knowledge of UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience managing complex pension cases and leading scheme administration
- Strong stakeholder management experience
