MCS Group is delighted to partner with an organisation in Belfast, as they look to add an L&D Lead to their team in this full-time, permanent opportunity.

The role involves designing and delivering training, building career pathways, and implementing development initiatives that equip their people to thrive. Working closely with leaders and teams across various functions, you will champion a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and high performance, shaping the skills and capabilities that drive the business forward.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a people development strategy aligned with business objectives across various functions.
  • Designing and delivering engaging training programmes: technical, soft skills, leadership, and compliance, both in-person and virtually.
  • Leading training needs analysis, sourcing development providers, and overseeing the delivery of all L&D initiatives.
  • Designing robust induction processes, succession planning, career pathways, and development frameworks to nurture high-potential talent.
  • Embedding coaching frameworks and fostering a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and engagement.
  • Managing apprenticeship, graduate, and internship programmes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Evaluating and implementing digital learning tools to enhance accessibility and track learning outcomes.
  • Monitoring and reporting on L&D programme impact, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading initiatives supporting culture transformation, values embedding, and high-performance behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar L&D role, ideally within manufacturing or technical environments.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programmes across diverse functions.
  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum) or equivalent experience.
