MCS Group is working with a high growth NI tech company in their search for a Business Analyst. With expertise in AI, Data, Analytics and Cloud, our client is on a huge growth trajectory and 2026 will be a huge year for them. We're looking for a client facing business analyst who has worked within technology, software or analytics to join to spearhead an exciting new project.

The Role

  • The Business Analyst to work closely with both business stakeholders and delivery teams, supporting the build and evolution of a huge data programme of work.
  • You’ll play a key role in bringing clarity to requirements and ensuring that what is delivered aligns closely with business needs.
  • Running workshops to gather and refine requirements with stakeholders.
  • Converting business needs into clear user stories and technical requirements.
  • Capturing both functional and non-functional requirements in a structured way.
  • Producing and maintaining documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Working alongside product owners on solution shaping and prioritisation.
  • Supporting user acceptance testing and coordinating feedback.
  • Contributing to release planning and Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

The Person

  • Strong experience working with stakeholders and leading workshops.
  • Background in data, analytics or software related projects.
  • Ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Clear communication and solid documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
