I am currently recruiting for an Automation Developer to help with a large scale AI and automation programme. This is a hands on contract role focused on designing and building intelligent workflows, integrations, and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support scalable delivery across the business.
You’ll work within a fast paced Agile environment alongside product, engineering, and operational teams to deliver practical, production ready solutions.
The Role:- Building end to end automated workflows and orchestration solutions across multiple systems and business processes.
- Designing, developing, and improving automation capabilities from concept through to production.
- Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Developing integrations using workflow and automation tooling such as: Power Automate, Workato, BPM / RPA / orchestration platforms.
- Delivering within Agile product environments, working iteratively and validating solutions with users throughout the development lifecycle.
- Building solutions that are maintainable, user friendly, and operationally effective.
- Leveraging AI services where appropriate within workflows, including areas such as classification, extraction, or summarisation.
- Designing with resilience, edge cases, and operational quality in mind.
- Taking ownership of delivery from discovery through to implementation.
- Strong hands on experience building automation, workflow, or integration solutions.
- Experience working with workflow, orchestration, or automation platforms such as: Power Automate, Workato, UiPath, Pega, Blue Prism, or similar tools.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data exchange.
- Experience working within Microsoft and Azure focused environments.
- Exposure to AI enabled automation solutions.
- Software development background beneficial, particularly with .NET, C#, or SQL.
- Experience delivering operationally focused solutions with strong end user impact.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new platforms and technologies.
