Operations Manager – MCR Safety Europe

Overview

MCR Safety Europe is a well‑established manufacturer and supplier of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Due to our continued growth in the UK and Europe, we need an Operations Manager to lead and deliver change across multiple business functions, utilising data to manage informed decisions.

Areas of Responsibility

• Management of UK warehouse, logistics function, small manufacturing facility and overseas facility in the Netherlands
• Ensure correct Health & Safety audits and practices for personnel, equipment, buildings and grounds
• Management of staff, including all training and development needs
• Monitor and ensure timely delivery of defined KPIs
• Management of inventory and supply chain
• Management of external audits
• Develop required reporting data for analysis across all functions
• Enhance communication and cross‑departmental strategies
• Define new methods to improve customer engagement and journey
• Research and engage with automated processes for future AI applications
• Lead a small internal IT team to deliver agreed projects and support the Bunzl IT framework
• Deliver IT projects and maintain ISO/BSI Kitemark licence, including audit preparations

Key Delivery Requirements

• Prepare and present weekly performance reports and monthly KPI summaries
• Create and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to enhance productivity and profitability
• Regularly assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data‑driven recommendations
• Recruit, train, and lead the team
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments to align delivery on expectations
• Plan, prepare for, and implement succession planning
• Handle any other requirements consistent with the position
• Drive change delivery as an essential component
