MCR Property Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our team in the South East to cover a corridor around Luton, Aylesbury and surrounding areas. As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance works and reactive repairs across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Your duties will include:
- Undertaking tapering and jointing and wider carpentry
- Minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
- Inspecting and maintaining building systems and equipment to ensure they remain safe and compliant
- Installing, repairing, and replacing fixtures and appliances where required
- Ensuring that all working areas are kept clean, safe, and well organised
The role will require clear communication with property managers, colleagues, and tenants as necessary, with responsibility for maintaining clear logs of maintenance and repair activities undertaken. Applicants should have proven experience in a maintenance, handyman, or similar role and possess a strong working knowledge of general repair and maintenance tasks. A basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems is essential, along with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. You will be expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
