Location: Ashburn Hotel / South Kensington

Reporting to: Hotel Manager

Work Hours: Morning: 8:00 pm - 8:00 am

Job Purpose: To provide a warm, professional, and efficient front desk service, ensuring all guests receive a high standard of hospitality from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
  • Handle reservations, amendments, and cancellations
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries promptly
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
  • Provide information about the hotel and local area
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback professionally
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
  • Maintain the reception area to a high standard at all times
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and data protection standards

Requirements & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Good knowledge of hotel systems (e.g. Opera, Guestline, etc.) is an advantage
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Basic IT and administrative skills

Working Hours: Shift-based role (including early, late, weekends, and bank holidays)

Typical shifts may include: Morning: 8:00 pm - 8:00 am
