Since 1989, MCR has successfully acquired, developed, and managed over £6 billion of property and currently manages a portfolio comprising more than 5,000 residential units, 4,000 student beds, and over 3,000,000 square feet of commercial space across the UK.
The role involves joining the London-based acquisitions team as an Analyst or Associate, working at the forefront of a high-growth investment platform, sourcing and executing transactions across multiple sectors nationwide. The successful candidate will bring strong relationships with commercial real estate agents, brokers, and receivers, alongside the commercial acumen required to originate and progress value-add opportunities across the UK property market.
Responsibilities:
- Support the acquisition manager by creating development appraisals and cash flow models
- Source, review, and negotiate multi-sector real estate opportunities for value-add investment
- Conduct market research and property-level due diligence
- Coordinate and manage input from professional consultants
- Work closely with internal planning, development, asset management, sales, and lettings teams
- Support and participate in legal reviews through to completion
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in the real estate industry, ideally from a commercial real estate agency or brokerage background
- Excel proficiency, with demonstrable experience building real estate cash flow models
- Strong market knowledge of the residential sector, including Build-to-Rent, PRS, BTL, and permitted development conversions
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate investment risk
- Proven ability to originate and progress transactions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume acquisitions environment
Candidate Preferences:
- RICS qualified
- Previous experience in commercial real estate agency/brokerage
- Proven track record of successful acquisitions or sales across any real estate sector (preferably residential, PBSA, office, commercial, serviced apartments, hotels, etc.)
- Knowledge and prior experience with office-to-residential conversions
Location: London office. Willingness to travel and work remotely.
