Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine maintenance works and reactive repairs across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Undertaking tapering and jointing, wider carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Inspecting and maintaining building systems and equipment to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, installing, repairing, and replacing fixtures and appliances where required.
- Ensuring that all working areas are kept clean, safe, and well‑organised.
- Communicating effectively with property managers, colleagues, and tenants as necessary.
- Coordinating with other team members to ensure work is completed smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintaining clear logs of maintenance and repair activities undertaken.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a maintenance, handyman, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of general repair and maintenance tasks.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and good attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving licence and reliable transport.
- Willingness to travel to sites across Manchester and the surrounding area.
- Flexibility to undertake occasional evening or weekend work.
- Cladding experience desirable; candidates must have their own tools.
