OFFICE BASED ROLE ONLY - MANCHESTER
Most design roles are fairly mundane. This one is different. At MCR Property Group, you will be designing brands, campaigns and places that people will actually experience in the real world. You will help shape student accommodation, hotels, residential developments and commercial spaces. You will work on everything from placemaking and storytelling through to brochures, websites, social content, video, events and emerging AI tools.
MCR Property Group has been building, investing in and transforming property across the UK for more than 30 years. We are now over £200 million into a wider £1 billion investment journey over the next 12 months, working across residential, student accommodation, hotels and commercial property. That means the work here has real commercial value. A better brochure can help lease a building. A better landing page can drive more enquiries. A better brand can make a place feel more desirable before someone has even visited it. A better idea can help us get to market faster.
You will be part of a team of 14 across marketing and design, operating more like an agency studio than a traditional in-house department. You will also be working under a Marketing Director with an agency-side Creative Director background, which means you will get the standards, pace and creative thinking of agency life, without spending six months arguing over the colour of a brand before a project quietly disappears. Here, the work gets built, launched, leased, sold and lived in.
The role will span MCR Property Group, Flow Student, our hotel portfolio, residential developments and commercial assets. It is a brilliant opportunity for a junior to mid level designer with a small amount of full time experience who is ready for more variety, more responsibility and more interesting problems to solve.
What you will be doing:
- Creating design assets across print, digital, social, web and events; supporting brand development across MCR Property Group, Flow Student, hotels, residential and commercial; contributing to placemaking, destination branding and customer experience ideas.
- Designing brochures, pitch decks, leasing packs, advertising and campaign material.
- Supporting websites, landing pages and digital journeys through Figma, Webflow or similar tools.
- Creating short-form video, motion and social content.
- Using AI tools to improve speed, creativity and quality of output.
- Working with marketing, lettings, sales, asset management and operations teams.
- Helping make every customer touchpoint feel more considered, useful and commercially effective.
What we are looking for:
- 1 to 3 years' full-time design experience.
- A strong portfolio showing brand, layout and digital work.
- Confidence in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience or interest in Figma, Webflow, AI and video.
- Good attention to detail.
- A commercial mindset.
- The ability to work quickly across multiple projects.
- Someone curious, proactive and willing to get stuck in.
This is a role for someone who does not just want to make things look good. It is for someone who wants to help make places feel more valuable, more desirable and easier to understand.
