Are you passionate about using data and evidence to change young people’s lives? We are looking for an Evidence and Impact Officer to join our Systems, Evidence and Impact team – someone who can turn our quantitative and qualitative data into robust insights and compelling reports that demonstrate the difference mentoring makes to young people, mentors and the education and skills system.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing development of our Outcomes Evaluation Framework and monitoring tools, ensuring accurate collection, storage and analysis of quantitative and qualitative outcomes data.
  • Generate actionable insights through thoughtful and robust analysis and visualisation – identifying trends, successes and areas for improvement.
  • Create high quality evidence and impact reports for internal and external audiences, including schools, local authorities, funders and policy makers.
  • Create, maintain and quality assure accessible data dashboards to give delivery teams real-time insight into programme performance.
  • Train and support delivery staff in data collection methods and the use of our systems, helping to embed a culture of impact and data across the charity.

About you

  • Have proven experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation.
  • Have experience of monitoring and evaluation approaches such as Logic Models, MEL and Theory of Change.
  • Be proficient in tools and techniques to visualise data (e.g. Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Sheets) to communicate insights.
  • Be able to present data in easy-to-understand formats and communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including young people.
  • Be a strong team player, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
