Overall Objectives:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Insurance Repair General Labourer to support property restoration and repair projects following insurance claims. The role involves assisting tradespeople, preparing work sites, carrying out basic repair and demolition tasks, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will work on residential properties affected by events such as fire, flood, storm, accidental damage, and escape of water claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with insurance repair and restoration works on residential properties
- Carry out general labouring duties including site preparation and clean-up
- Remove damaged materials and debris safely
- Assist skilled tradespeople including carpenters, plasterers, decorators, plumbers, and builders
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Protect customer property and maintain tidy work areas
- Support strip-out and reinstatement works
- Follow site health and safety procedures at all times
- Report site issues or hazards to supervisors
- Use hand and power tools safely and responsibly
- Travel to various job sites as required
Essential Criteria:
- Previous labouring or construction experience preferred
- Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual work
- Basic understanding of construction site safety
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Criteria:
- CSCS Card
- Experience in insurance restoration or property repairs
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic knowledge of building repairs or maintenance
