Overall Objectives:

We are seeking an experienced and organised Project Manager to oversee residential property repair projects resulting from insurance claims. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial assessment through completion, ensuring high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction and compliance with insurance and industry standards. Working on building, maintenance & refurbishment projects the successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage insurance restoration and repair projects from start to finish
  • Conduct site inspections and assess scope of works
  • Review insurance reports, estimates and claim documentation
  • Prepare project schedules, budgets and work plans
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and internal teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards
  • Maintain regular communication with homeowners, insurers, loss adjusters and stakeholders
  • Monitor health and safety compliance across all project sites
  • Resolve project issues, delays and customer concerns promptly
  • Track project progress and provide regular reporting to management
  • Ensure all documentation, variations and invoices are accurately recorded
  • Support business development through strong customer service and relationship management

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of current building regulations and best building practices
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management and estimating software
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Criteria:

  • Qualification in Construction Management, Building Surveying, or related field
  • Experience working with insurers, loss adjusters, and restoration contractors
  • Health & Safety certification (SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent)
