McPherson Aberlour is a well-established logistics company, specialising in heavy goods vehicles, predominantly serving the needs of Scotland\’s whisky industry. With a commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellence, we are seeking a skilled HGV and Trailer Fitter to join our team. If you are a dedicated and experienced professional with a passion for maintaining and repairing HGVs, Tanks and Trailers, we want to hear from you.
We are seeking a skilled fitter/mechanic, ideally with experience in inspection and repair of fleet vehicles and trailers to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, component replacement and maintaining Trailers and HGVs to the highest industry standards. Attending breakdowns and overhaul of equipment on customer sites where required.
We would also welcome applications from mechanical engineers with experience in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, looking to retrain as an HGV and trailer mechanic.
Qualifications:
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in using various hand tools.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
A valid driving licence may be required.
Own basic tool kit required, in return we offer flexible shift patterns, regular overtime at premium rates.
