RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management Performance Reporting: Compile appropriate finance, actuarial and other function teams’ performance data (including quarterly Key Performance / Risk Indicator trend analysis), ultimately contributing to the completion of the Syndicate Management Committee package.
  • Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF ): Assisting in the coordination of the annual SBF process (including any ad hoc re-submissions, when necessary).
  • Lloyd’s Submissions: Assisting, with functional support, in the accurate and timely Lloyd’s ad-hoc and scheduled reporting, including the governance, process and controls environment.
  • Governance: Support the operation (including minute taking and action point tracking) of the Syndicate Management Committee, coordinating across AUKG functions as required.
  • Supporting the Head of Agency Management with the first-line activity (including assessments) on the “Principles for doing business at Lloyd’s” (PBO ) & Oversight Framework, maintaining positive progress towards target maturity levels.
  • Assisting in the identification and reporting of conflicts to the Compliance Function, along with the Board and governing committee(s), as appropriate, in accordance with Arch’s Conflicts Policy.
  • Developing a research and advisory role on aspects of Lloyd’s regulation, as required (including Byelaws, Principles and Codes of Practice), along with developments thereof and the timely dissemination of / guidance on Lloyd’s communications.
  • Supporting initiatives to drive enhancements to AMAL’s business processes, along with improved efficiencies and the appropriate harnessing of IT solutions, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Planner.
  • Engagement with the Group Compliance Function (as required) on matters of mutual interest / concern, including first / second line activities.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

  • Minimum of three years’ Lloyd’s Market experience, preferably in a mid-ranking operations / reporting role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations research or similar field / relevant professional qualifications.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Extensive Lloyd’s / London insurance market knowledge.
  • Expertise in portfolio and project management
  • Structured and analytical thinking, with a close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with governance models and supporting tools and technology.
  • Familiarity with / knowledge of Lloyd’s reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Experience building and implementing foundational management and governance policies, standards, and procedures
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills, Communication, Technical, and Organization, Problem Solving and Service Skills
  • Self-starter demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and adaptability.
  • Ability to effectively harness Microsoft 365 apps., including SharePoint and Planner.
