Arch Insurance is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage and lead various impactful business and technology initiatives that underpin the organisation's future business and IT strategy. In this position, you will be working across departments (underwriting, operations, claims, IT, Finance) of a dynamic company, where you will partner with a wide range of stakeholders to support the transformation initiatives that will drive the strategy of the organisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant prior experience in delivering large, complex transformation initiatives within an insurance environment. A working knowledge of how the London Insurance Market operates is highly desirable, as is experience in operating in both agile and waterfall environments. Whilst the position will not have direct line management responsibility, it will require managing and coordinating multiple project teams across different disciplines. The role will require someone who is comfortable leading complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. As part of this you will be responsible for managing stakeholder expectations, mitigating risks, and ensuring project goals are aligned with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and manage multiple, high-impact projects across departments or global teams.
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives and third parties.
- Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and adjust plans as necessary to stay aligned with goals.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead regular project meetings and provide status reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure that initiative deliverables meet the desired quality standards.
- Develop and execute on strategies and plans to effectively assess, manage and mitigate change.
- Foster a collaborative working environment and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, business leads and the full project team.
- Foster effective communication among stakeholders and the project team.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor project managers, share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Clarity, Jira).
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI/PMBOK).
- Deep understanding of change management concepts/methodologies and how to effectively drive complex change throughout an organisation.

- PROSCI or similar Change Management certification.
- 5+ years of experience delivering large, complex, and holistic operating model transformations, including at least 3 years within the insurance industry.
- Experience and working knowledge of how the London Insurance Market operates.
- Demonstrated data and technology literacy.
- Demonstrated experience operating in both agile and waterfall project environments.
