The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers (builders, architects, quantity surveyors, landscapers, and homeowners).
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into sales.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product ranges, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives.
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in the construction, building materials, or natural stone sector.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of construction/architectural processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications (desirable).
  • 1-3 years sales experience.
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
