This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious M&E professional to develop their career within a progressive, supportive and highly respected Tier 1 contractor. You’ll be joining a collaborative and people-focused team environment, reporting directly into an experienced Head of M&E who is heavily invested in mentoring, training and long-term development. We’re working in partnership with a major UK contractor delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK, who are now looking to appoint an experienced M&E Coordinator to support a growing pipeline of highways, utilities and industrial schemes. The Role

You’ll play a key role in coordinating M&E packages across live civil engineering projects, working closely with operational teams, designers, subcontractors and clients to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme expectations. Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating M&E works from design through to installation and commissioning
  • Managing subcontractors and monitoring progress against programme
  • Reviewing technical drawings and identifying buildability or coordination issues
  • Supporting procurement and construction methodology planning
  • Managing quality processes, inspections and testing documentation
  • Liaising with project, commercial and design teams throughout delivery
  • Supporting commissioning activities and project handover documentation
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with safety and compliance requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, utilities or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of M&E installations within live construction environments
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage technical/project interfaces
  • Good awareness of programme management and project delivery
  • Electrical bias or strong electrical understanding would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience within Tier 1 or major project environments is beneficial
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
