We’re working with a leading contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis to support a major healthcare project in Bournemouth. This is a site‑based role, offering the opportunity to play a key part in the commercial delivery of a large-scale mechanical and building services package. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of cost control and ensuring the project remains commercially on track.
Role:
- Overseeing the commercial management of M&E and building services works on site
- Producing cost reports, forecasts, and monthly financial reviews (CVRs)
- Assessing subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts
- Providing ongoing cost advice and supporting budget management across the project
- Working closely with the wider project team, as well as clients and external stakeholders
- Keeping accurate financial records and reporting on project performance
- Supporting contract administration in line with NEC, JCT or similar frameworks
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong background as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E or building services
- Previous experience on healthcare or hospital projects is highly advantageous
- Good working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Confident managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and cost control
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders
- Able to work independently in a site‑based environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Must have the right to work in the UK (DBS may be required)
