Senior Quantity Surveyor in Leeds

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure - Leeds McM are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based out of Leeds. With a strong pipeline of secured work across Yorkshire and the wider North of England, this is an opportunity to join a business delivering major infrastructure, utilities, highways and environmental projects, whilst benefiting from genuine career progression and long-term stability. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account. Key responsibilities include: * Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects * Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance * Preparing cost reports, forecasts and valuations * Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities * Supporting project delivery teams to maximise profitability * Negotiating and agreeing variations and final accounts * Producing accurate financial reporting for senior management * Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders What We're Looking For * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities * Strong NEC contract knowledge * Experience managing projects from tender through to completion * Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awareness * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * Full UK driving licence What's on Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Car allowance * Pension scheme * Private healthcare * Life assurance * Hybrid working opportunities * Exposure to major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire and the North * Clear progression pathway within a growing commercial team This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater responsibility, project exposure and long-term career development within a well-established and growing infrastructure contractor.
