We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support a large student accommodation project starting in June in Leeds city centre, with further projects to follow across Leeds. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to oversee a major project from inception through to completion, working within a collaborative and supportive delivery team with strong prospects for long-term career progression.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing mechanical works on a large-scale project from planning through to delivery and handover
  • Overseeing budgets, programmes, and resource allocation
  • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in line with health and safety and quality standards
  • Monitoring project progress and resolving any issues efficiently
  • Providing regular project updates and reports

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Strong mechanical background, including HVAC, pipework, and plant systems
  • Valid SMSTS/SSSTS Qualification
  • Proven experience managing large-scale mechanical or M&E projects
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project timelines
  • Commitment to health and safety and quality standards
  • Based within or able to work in Leeds
