We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 2 HGV Drayman to join our team working out of a well known brewery in Devises. Experience preferred although not essential. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of goods, ensuring that products are transported safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations while operating a Dray vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 HGV Dray vehicle for the transportation of goods to various locations.
- Working as part of a 2 man crew delivering to pubs.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling techniques are utilised.
- Complete all necessary paperwork related to deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 HGV driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a preference for candidates with commercial driving experience.
- Familiarity with dray vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
